This new production site will start shipments of product in June 2018 servicing Drylock customers in Southern Europe. The rapid start up of this new production site bringing 120 new jobs to the region of Castilla y Leon has been greatly enabled by the regional administration – a partnership for which Drylock Technologies is deeply appreciative. The overall investment being made into the Segovia production site is valued as Euros 45 million.
The Segovia production site is part of Euro 200 million four plant expansion programme that Drylock is executing in 2018 with two sites in Brazil, a doubling of production capability in the Czech Republic as well as the start up of production at Segovia in Spain. This follows the entry of Drylock in the USA in 2017 and the acquisition of a production site at Eau Claire in Wisconsin.
The trigger for this investment into four new plants in 2018 has been demand for Drylock’s Magical Tube proprietary absorbent core technology – supported by the the acquisition of the Mardam and Caprichio companies in Brazil. Drylock Magical Tube technology were launched to market in the baby diapers segment in May 2017 with first on shelf listings in October following exhaustive consumer testing that proved out a winning product concept. In May 2018 Drylock will be further announcing to market their Magical Tubes in Baby Pants and explaining more about the new upgraded Adult Pant product concept as a follow up to the success in Baby Diapers.
