At Drylock Technologies, sustainability isn’t just a goal – it’s part of who we are! That’s why, in 2023, we launched the Drylock Forest initiative near our plant in Segovia, Spain. The project is a testament to our commitment to biodiversity, climate action, and community collaboration.
Forests play a crucial role in regulating the climate, supporting biodiversity, and sustaining local communities. As a global manufacturer of hygiene products that rely on fibers, we recognize our responsibility to actively contribute to environmental conservation. The Drylock Forest is just one of the ways we minimize our environmental impact.
1,500 trees and counting
Since we first broke ground, the Drylock Forest has continued to grow. Over the past year, we planted an additional 700 trees, bringing the total to 1,500. And we’re not stopping there: our goal is to expand the forest to 5.5 hectares, with space for another 1,000 trees.
Local experts have carefully selected native species that complement the region’s natural ecosystem. This ensures the long-term health of the forest, provides habitats for wildlife and and enhances biodiversity.
Community-driven sustainability
The Drylock Forest is a community effort. We’ve worked closely with local governance and schools to make this project a reality. Students and community members have played an active role in planting and caring for the trees, fostering a shared sense of environmental responsibility.
