The Drylock Train is a dedicated 1,300-kilometer rail connection, developed in partnership with ECS, a leading supply chain solutions provider. Launched in 2023, it was a pioneering project within the hygiene industry and has since become an integral part of our European logistics network.
Our Supply Chain Director, Ruben Benoot, set out to experience the Drylock Train firsthand. He followed its journey from Belgium to Czechia, exploring the beautiful scenery along the route.

In July 2024, we received the Grocer Gold Award for Supply Chain Initiative of the Year in recognition of the Drylock Train project. In its first year, the project increased palletization efficiency by 10% and reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 75% compared to traditional road transport.

The Drylock Train continues to play an important role in our European supply chain. Each year, around 4,000 containers travel by rail between our manufacturing facility in Hrádek and our hub in Zeebrugge. Finished products travel to Belgium, while raw materials return to our Czech facility.
Today, we also use rail to support customer deliveries in the United Kingdom and intermodal connections from our manufacturing facility in Italy to our warehouse in Zeebrugge, in partnership with trusted logistics providers.
By replacing thousands of truck journeys every year, our rail network reduces emissions and improves logistics efficiency. As volumes grow, we expect even more products to move by rail in the years ahead.
Rail also plays an important role in our North American logistics network.
From our facility in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, we use intermodal rail services provided by our logistics partners for customer deliveries whenever transit times allow. Each year, more than 1,000 shipments travel by rail to destinations across the United States, including Florida, California, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Washington.
We expect rail volumes across North America to continue growing in the years ahead.
